President of the party, in Matoshri. This development ahead of Assembly election has given severe jolt to Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) as Surekha Thakare was the popular face of NCP in the district after saspcnsion of Sanjay Khodke. Thakare reached Matoshri on Wednesday afternoon along with her supporters and joined Shiv Sena in the presence of Uddhav Tliackeray. AsperThakare. Uddhav Thackeray has assured her candidature from Achaipur constituency. Former 7P Chief, Thakare had also served as former Stale President of Women's Wing of NCP. She is known as strong supporter of Sharad Pawar. She was reportedly upset with the interference of MLA Ravi Rana in the parly affairs in the district.
