Rs 1.97 cr granted for Bhadravati police station building
THE efforts of Vanita Rewate, former Deputy Chairperson of Bhadravati Panchayat Samiti and Journalists Association of Majri. for the demand of construction of New Police Station building and police quarters in Majri since 16 years bore fruit. The State Government considered their demand and granted fund of Rs I crore for the building Of police station and Rs I crore 97 lakh for 20 police quarters. Majri Police Station has been presently funedoning in a WCL quarter at Majri. known for coal mines.

District Superintendent of Police, performed bhoomipujan of the proposed sites that will be on buill on 1.75 acres government land near Majri Gram Panchayat in the presence of hundreds of citizens. Speaking on the occasion. SP Rajiv Jain thanked Vanita Rcwate and Majri Journalists' Association for their consistent efforts for the same and assured that CCTV cameras will be installed in market area and at main squares after completion of construction to check crimes.
It should be noted that Vanila Rewate had met R R Patil. State Home Minister during the winter session of Assembly in 2006 under the leadership of MLA Sudhirhhau Mungantiwar and had apprised him of crime problems at Majri. Sunil Jaysawal.
