Police Administration gears up for Ganesh immersion in city

POLICE Administration and Amravati Muncipal Corporation has started the preparation for the security regarding the Ganpati idol immersion which will start from Sept. 8. Police and AMC Officers took the review of the security prospects at the Chatri Talao and Pratnamesh Lake in the city.

Installation of Ganpati Idols took place in total of 525 Ganeshotsav Mandal under the jurisdiction of Amravati Police Commissionoratc. These 525 mandal includes 97 under the jurisdiction of Rajapeth Police Station. 46 under Nandgaon Beth Police Station. 40 under Kholapuri Gate, l05uixlerGadgenagar.64eaeh under Frezarpura and Badnera. 42 under Walgaon. 10 ai Bhatkuli. 18 at Nagpuri Gale and 10 under the jurisdiction of City Koiwali Police Station. The Ganpati idol immersion will take place in between Sept. 8 to 11. Strong police bandohasi will be deployed in City under the guidance from Dr Sureskumar Mekala, Commissioner of Police to maintain the law and order situation during the immersion period.

Dr Mekala few days back took the review of the security arrangement by paying visit to the immersion places. He has made some recommendations to the AMC and officers from other departments fromthe security point of view.

Taking cognizance of the recom-mondations Arun Dongre. Muncipal Commissioner. SomnathGharge and B K Gawrane, both the Deputy Commissioner of Police along wiih the officers from other departments have paid visit the Chatri Talav and Prathamesh Lake where immersion will take place and took the review of what kind of arrangement to he made regarding the security point of view.

Special arrangements: Special security arrangement has been made at Chalri Talao in the city where Ganpati immersion takes place every year. Two big small lakes of 10 feet-bye 100 feets have been made at the lake.

Strong police bandobast along with the barricades will deployed at both die lakes during immersion period. 20 swimmers includings of 10 each from police department and AMC will be made ready at both the lakes during immersion period.
