Man relieved of Rs 3.5 lakh
SENSATION gripped here in from of Dr Vijay Bakhtar Hospital near to Rajapeth on Saturday in the broad-day light unidentified looters coming on a two-wheeler snatched abag containing cash Rs. 3.5 lakh from the hands of the manager of the Veer I lanuman Marbles from MIDC here. Though strong police bandobasl has been made in the city for the Ganeshotsav festival still this incident took place.
According to the information. Ramswaroop Baluram Parikh (54) from Rajhil Nagar is working as a Manager here at Veer Hanuman Marbles. MIDC road. He is also an relative of Mailanlal Saini owner of the Marble factory. In the afternoon at about 3 he withdrew cash Rs. 1.5 lakhs from the HDFC Bank at Jaistambha square and also withdrew Rs 2 lakhs from the Axis Bank at Gulshan Plaza Market. He kepi cash in a bag and then kept it in Activa Moped (MH-27-R-7312). Parikh then reached Dr Vijay Bakhtar Hospital's here near Rajapeth to make payment of his relative who was admitted in the hospital.
Parikh opened the dicky of the moped and took out cash Rs. 6.000 from hag. In the meantime two unidentified looter came on a two wheeler and snatched the bag containing cash Rs 35 lakhs from the hands of Parikh. The looters fled from the spol before Parikh and nearby people eame lo know about it.
Rajapeth Police and D B Squad cops immediately reached the spot as soon as they got the information and performed the panchanama of the spot. Police executed nakaban-di at diffrent places to nab the looters.
The incident lias shocked the citizens as the looters have executed me incident in a broad daylight when strong police bandobast is there for Ganeshotsav festival.
Rajapeth Police have registered the case against the unidentified looters under relevant section and are investigating further in the incident.
