THE Civil Engineering final year students of Namdeorao Poreddiwar College of Engineering paid a visit to Gosekhurd Irrigation Project recently and inspected the construction and structure of the dam. Ramesh Wardhane. Executive Engineer and P D Chawre. Assistant Engineer, gave the details of die projects to the students.
This is the only project in the state with 33 hvdrolic doors. The first phase of the projects is completed. students were informed.
The construction of left anil right canals of the project has been completed and the work of distributor is in progress. The annual irrigation potential of the project is 25,055 hectares of land and so far 7777.85 crores of rupees have been spent on it. it was informed.
Neeta Shende. Mead of Civil Engineering Department, and Sandeep Ajmire accompanied the students during this tour. The tour was very useful for the students 10 understand the major irrigation project and its technical aspects.
