DMO forms team to check ground status of malaria outbreak


DISTRICT Malaria Officer (DMO) Ajay Kureel constituted a team to check ground status of spread of malaria in the disirict after Secretariat, Public Health and Medical Department have issued fresh guidelines lo prepare a work plan to slop spread of water borne contagious disease like dengue, malaria, chikungunya after rains stopped since last few  days.  DMO  Kurcel informed that a  team  of MPHW. doctors,        malaria workers has  been constituted  to conduct door-to-door survey to status of larvae, which would grow as mosquito responsible for malaria and other vector-home disease.
The team would check status of stagnant water in tyres and hollow utensils in open area, the team would spray tempos, such campaigning will go in places prone to vector-borne disease. Thereafter the team will return after sometime so that the larvae responsible for causing malaria will he killed with pesticide, then empty the utensils. As per fresh guidelines. DMO. Block Medical Officer, at Primary Health Centre will remain connected with IDSP 'officials and send information on number of patients suffering from malariay S dengue, other water-borne diseases on weekly basis to control room of Health Department at Bbopal. Multi-Purpose Health Worker (MPHW) should visit door to door to colled blood slides to people in the area, identified as prone lo water-borne disease. Collected blood slides should be sent to Central Pathology Malaria Lab at Victoria Hospital for confirmation.
MPHW have been directed to check water-logging in the area.
