Divisional Controller of MSRTC, peon booked for taking Rs 5,000 bribe
THE sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) took the Divisional Controller of Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) VinodChawre in custody and a peon in his office Lomeshwar Meshram after Lomeshwar was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 5000 on Wednesday evening from a bus conductor, .said Damdco Mandalwar. Police Inspector of ACB.
According to ACB. one Nitesh Madavi. a bus conductor attached to Gadchiroli depot of MSRTC. had gone on medical leave few days back. To get his medical leave sanctioned and avoid termination of services, the Divisional Controller Chawre had demanded a bribe of Rs. 5.000 to Nitesh.
