Devotees bid farewell to Ganpati Bappa
RAJURA town bid adieu lo Lord Ganesha in an extremely peaceful and novel manner. Rajura Municipal Council under the guidance of Vijay Sarnaik. Chief Officer, had for the first time initiated a novel and safe way to say goodbye to the Lord Ganesh. after 10 days of fervor and celebration.
There were about 35 Ganesh idols installed in the town by various Ganesh Mandals. For the immersion special arrangements were made at Rajura's only lake near old bus stand area. A massive crane with an extremely long boom was hired by the Municipal Council for Rs 35.000. This was placed at a distance with a cage specially made to carry the idols. Ganesh Mandals brought their idols in a very organised and peaceful manner through the town and placed the idol of their beloved Lord Ganesha in the cage after paying due respects.
This cage was then lifted by the crane with lour life guards protecting the idol and carefully immersed in the lake. The complete process was safe and systematic which was appreciated by one and all in the town. 11 may be mentioned here that for
the peaceful celebration Rajratna Bansod, SDPO. and Vilas Nikam, Police station in-charge. Rajura along with their team along with members of the peace keeping committee did an extremely efficient job.
While Vijay Sarnaik. and the entire team of Municipal Council worked sincerely hard for the immersion process. Shantalu Goel. Sub Divisional Magistrate and Dharmesh Fusaie, Tehsildar monitored the arrangements.
Rajiv Jain. District Superintendent of Police paid a visit to this Ganesh immersion at Rajura and praised the arrangements made for the event. Arun Dhole. Swamy Yerolwar. Sunil Dcshpande. Vilas Bhongirwar, Prashanl Gundawar. Bandu Manusmare. Dr Pimpalshende, Dr Umakant Dhote. P I Bordewar. Nitin Pipre. S Batkamwar. Gajendra Janwar and a large gathering of dignitaries from the town were prominently present.
