"THE speed of development in small Slates of India is noteworthy and hence people in the States want the capital of their respective State within the range of 300 kms. People also want the district head quarters within the range of 30 kms. Hence the demand of statehood to Vidarbha is appropriate." said by Dr Hanumant Yadav, former President of Chattisgarh Planning Commission and senior journalist. He was interacting with local journalists when he was in city to guide a symposium organised by Janmanchorganisation utkler the drive' Ladha Vidarbhacha'. Guiding further Dr Yadav said that division based on language is not good for country. But seperate statehood should be given to those areas where people faced problems while reaching to the capitalsof their respective States for their works and also for cxpireancing good administration. He also said that the development and progress graph of Chattisgarh State, though it is a small stale, was contineously rising. The slogan 'small is beautiful' proved irue for the people residing in small States, said Yadav. Vidarbha can achieved progress and even can marched ahead of small States like Kerala and Haryana. hope Yadav. Jawahar Surshetty, Education Advisor on various committees of State Government, said that administration should not let the people to stage agitation as like done by the people of Telangana for the demand of seperate Statehood. Vidarbha is full of skills and talents and where the number of well-qualified youths is substantial. Vidarbha is also situated on the main root of Railway line and hence can become an logistic hub. He also stressed on the importance of timing for the demand and procedure for declaring seperate Statehood, said Yadav.

Vidarbha has an good opportunity for industrial development and could make progress like Chhattisgarh. said SSB rahmankar. an young industrialist, on the occassion.
