Chikhli police bid farewell to Lord Ganesha
THE Visarjan of the idol of Lord Ganesh installed a! the Chikhli Police station was perforated with much fanfare on Sunday.
Police officials sprinkled gulal and slogans of 'Ganpali Baba Morayya' reverberated on the tune of band.
The initiative to install Lord Ganesha idol in the Police Station was taken by PSO Vijaysingh Rajput. For 8 days, morning and evening artis and pooja were performed. A mahaprasad was also organised and police personnel along with their families look the Mahaprasad.
Speaking on the occasion. Rajput said that cops seldom get chance to celebrate these festivals, as on most occasions they are busy with ban* dobast. They do not even get time to attend the rituals even if the Lord' s idol is installed at their own place. The idol was installed at the Police Station and programmes were organised to provide the cops much-needed relief and increase bonding between them.
