HUNDREDS of women activists of Bahujan Samajwadi Party led by Nirmala Borkar, Corporator from Amravati Muncipal Corporation today stage a day longdharna before Amravati                      Muncipal

Commissionorate for their various demands. As Aran Dongre, Muncipal Commissionerdid not pay-attention to the agitation the women activists sat in front of the cabin of Muncipal Commissioner.

Hundreds of women activists of BSP led by Nirmala Borkar. Corporator staged a day long agitation before Amravati Muncipal Commissionorate for the justice to the women and for their various pending demands.

The agitation was staged to the demand re-survey of Below Poverty Level families and to include the widows, women and poors in the BPL categories as the real beneficiaries have been deleted from the list, to give the interest of the amount rccieved from Government under Maharashtra Suvarna Mahotsav Dalit Wasti Swachata and Water Supply scheme for providing individual tap connections and toilets scheme to the SC and Navbuddha community people which AMC failed to implement it in Amravati City and to immediately stan the scheme in Amravati. to construct garden for the children in the slum areas under the jurisdiction of Amravati     Muncipal Corporation and for their various other demands.

As Muncipal Commissioner did not pay attention towards the agitation and so the women activists have at on dharna in front of his cabin and raised slogans against him.

This caused tension at Amravati Muncipal Corporation.

Strong police bandobast was deployed at AMC to avoid any untoward incident.

Gumfa Meshram, Alka Sardar and Dipak Patil. all the BSP Corporators in AMC. Ravi Vaidya. Sudam Borkar. Anant Lanjewar. Gajanan Gajbhiye, Pramod Lokhande, Mahendra Dongre, Yahya Khan Pathan and hundreds of women activists participated in the agitation.
