THE birth anniversary Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya was celebrated here in Government Polytechnic College with great enthusiasm and gusto as Engineer's Day.

The function started with lighting traditional land and garlanding portrait of Goddess Saraswati Or D D Lulekar. Principal of the college. in the inaugural programme recalled the contribution of Sir Visveraraya in engineering field and urged the students imbibe the highly advanced technical and technological knowledge to take the nation on the path of glory enviable to the others.

On the occasion, blood donation camp in association with Jee van Jyoti Blood Bank. Nagpur. was organised in which 59 students and staff members donated their blood as a part of social commitment and service to humanity. The inter collegiate quiz contest was also held. Pranhat Polytechnic that emerged winner was awarded trophy at the hands of Prof S N Bengal. Head of Civil Engineering Department , The students expressed views about the creative contribution of Sir Visvesaraya in the field of engineering.
