Administration reviews preparations for Dhammachakra Pravartan Din
THE district administration, on Wednesday, took stock of the preparations for annual Dhammachakra Pravartan Din programmes being organised at Deekshabhoomi in Nagpur city and Kamptce on October 3.
For the mega annual event, an integrated action plan of all (he departments concerned is being prepared for the first time. The administration directed the officials concerned to install CCTV cameras at various local ions to monitor the crowd of visitors from different pans of the country.

Deekshabhoomi Smarak Samiti: Rahul Rekhawar. Sub-Divisional Officer; Ravindra Kumbhare. Resident Deputy Collector; Girish Joshi, Deputy Collector and others were present prominently in the meeting.
Various issues pertaining 10 preparations for the grand annual event at Deekshabhoomi were discussed in the meeting. Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) was asked to make arrangements for drinking water, cleanliness, temporary toilets and bathrooms. Maharashtra Slate Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) and NMC were asked to make necessary arrangements for power supply and proper illumination of the premises. NMC and Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporaiion(MSRTC) were direct-ed to ensure adequate number of buses for visitors to Deekshabhoomi and Kamptee.
The responsibility of setting up a clinic, making available ambulance and necessary medicines was given to Health Department. Police Department was asked to ensure light security considering that lakhs of people visit Deekshabhoomi and Kamptee on Dhammachakra Pravartan Din. and to install CCTV cameras. Fire and Emergency Services Department was entrusted with the task of fire safety of the premises and being ready to deal with the situation. Making requisite arrangement for slay of visitors at schools and colleges in the city in case of heavy rainfall, also was discussed in the meeting. Wankhade asked the officials of various departments to prepare reports based on responsibility given to Uiem. and submit the same to the District Collector's office.
Adv Sulekha Kumbhare and Sadanand Fulzcle also made certain suggestions about the preparations
