2 youths dupe girl of Rs 10 lakh in name of online exam, held
IN A shocking incident, a standard Xih girl student was duped of Rs 10 lakh by 2 youths in the name of participating in an online examination conducted by an USA-hascd company to win cash prize of Rs 500 crore. Gadgenagar Police arrested the ihc accused on the complaint of victim's father.
According to police, the victim is a daughter of Vilas Thakur (43). a resident of Ganediwal Layout. She is a standard Xth student of Manibai High School here. She has received many awards in general knowledge and other competitions. The accused Shubham Agrawal and Karan Chauragade got introduced with die victim and her father through their common friend. Later. Shubham and Chauragade had asked the girl to participate in the online examination of USA-based company by luring to get cash prize of Rs. 500 crore. They also asked Thakur to force his daughter to participate in the examination as she is intelligent. They allegedly gave him the address of fake website. Believing in them, the girl appeared for the fake examination many times on this fake website. The accused allegedly duped Vilas Thakur and his daughter in the name of providing books and other educational material required for the examination.
As per complaint. Shubham and Chauragade extracted Rs. 10,70.630 during December 13. 2013 to September 15. 2014. Vilas Thakur had also conducted a party for about 200 persons. The accused had asked them to participate in the party and dance on die pretext that the live
