2 youths dupe CA of Rs 18 lakh assuring admission at PDMG


IN A sensational incident, two youihs duped a Chartered Aceountant (CA) from Himachal Pradesh of Rs 18 lakh on the pretext of giving admission to his daughter at Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Medical College (PDMC) here. The incident took place in the PDMC premises on Thursday at about 1.30 pm.
According to information, a youth Rahul contacted Avinash Chandel (46). CA from Himachal Pradesh on his cell phone few days back. Rahul reportedly told Chandel that he could help him in getting admission to his daughter at PDMC and asked him to contact with him if they wanted to take admission. He asked him to give Rs 24 lakh for the admission and settled the deal at Rs 22 lakh.
For taking admission to PDMC. Avinash Chandel along with his family members came to Nagpur by plane. He took one of his friends Raghuveer Dogra (52) from Wadi in Nagpur. who originally hails from Himachal Pradesh. Chandel and his family members along wiih Dogra came to Amravaii by car on Wednesday at about 1.30 pm with Rs 14 lakh cash. Rahul reportedly told them that the admission was confirmed and asked them to pay Rs 18 lakh in cash and Rs 4 lakh through cheque.
Chandel withdrew Rs4 lakh from Punjab National Bank at Shyam Square and went to PDMC premises. Rahul along with one another youth Abhijit met them. Chandel gave cash of Rs 18 lakh, two cheques ofRs.4lakh. 10 passport size photographs of his daughter and photocopies of documents to them. Rahul and Abhijeet went near the cabin of Dean of PDMC while Chandel. his family members and Dogra stayed back at the premises of the college. But Rahul and Abhijit did not return back for long lime. Seasing doubt they searched for Rahul and Abhishek in the PDMC premises but failed.
