SS city chief, 5 others booked in assault case

RISOD Police have booked Shiv Sena's Cily President and 5 others for assaulting a person following dispute over money for sand.Tcnsionprcvailedforsomc time as the attackers allegedly tried to hurt the man even in the police station.

According to the complaint lodged by Umesh Sarnaik, he had sought payment of bills for providing 8-trollcy sand for construction to Arun Magar. However, Magar verbally abused him at Hotel Palace. Arun Magar and his supporters also beat up Umesh at Post Office Square, the complaint alleged. Umesh slated that he ran for his life and reached Police station, where, 101) the attacked threatened to kill him. Hewasattackedinthepolice station loo, but police stopped thealiackers.thecomplainisaid. Sarnaik stated that Arun Magar, I.axman Magar, Anil Magar, Santosh alias I'itya Jaibhaiye and (ianesh Magar attacked him with iron rod. I hegl asses of the Police Station loo were broken in the incident, the complaint said.

On the basis of complaint lodged by Sarnaik, Hisod Police registered offence against Arun Magar, Laxman Magar, Anil Magar, Santosh alias Pitya Jaibhaiye andCiancsh Magar and twounindentifiedpersonsunder sectton307,143,147,148 and 149 of the IPC and section 03 of Damage to Public Property. 1984,

The Police have arrested Anil Magar and have detained Arun Magar. The others are absconding. Under die guidance of PI Sureshkumar Raul, API Gavai is Investigating the case.
