SVA demands action against bank officials

SAMYAK Vidyarihi Andolan. (SVA) a student organization of the city has alleged that academic career of a student is likely to be affected due to non-cooperative and adamant attitude of the bank officials. It has demanded stringent action against the concerned officials and release of education loan.

In a statement issued here Sandeep Rahate, District Chief of the SVA has said that one Rajat Raut was selected for the MS degree education of the Michigan Technological University, Houghton, in America hence his fatrher had applied for the education loan to the Central Bank of India's Gadchiroli branch in June 2013.

The then Manager, after verifying necessary documents and academic records of the student, had sanctioned an Education Loan of Rs 4 lakhs.

However the Manager met with an accident and then he was transferred elsewhere and the loan was not distributed to the student even after repealed visits of his father to the hank.

Now the new Manager is avoiding the distribution of the loan and harassing the father due to which the very education of Rajat has come in danger and his academic career is likely to be affected due to adamant attitude of the hank officials, the statement said.

The student should therefore be disbursed the loan amount immediately and stringent action be taken agaiast the bank official responsible for this, SVA has demanded-
