Shikshan Sevaks stage demos for job security
WITH an aim to press for the demand to provide security of service to the Shikshan Sevaks. the Maharashtra Rajya Shikshak Parishad (MRSP). Chandrapur staged demonstrations in from of the office of Education Officer (Secondary )Zilla Parishad. Chandrapur. recently.
It may be mentioned that thousands of teachers have been declared surplus as per the assessment of the academic session 2013-14 according to Right to Education < RTE) Act. While permanent teachers who have been declared surplus have security of their service as per the Rule No 26 (2) but if the Shikshan Sevaks are termed as excess they do not have any security of their service and they will be terminated. As per the said assessment the service of the teachers whose probationary period of 3 years as Shikshan Sevak is not completed till July 30. 2014 will be terminated from their service which would cause financial crisis in ihe lives of hundreds of Shikshan Sevaks in the district.
Earlier, the criterion of the assessment of the teachers was different and the Government has changed its criteria with the execution of RTE Act. But it is necessary that the Government should look after that the Shikshan Sevaks should not fall victim to the changed criteria and il is ihe responsibility of Government to provide security to the service of the Shikshan Sevaks.
Hence Shikshan Sevaks staged demonstration for joh security. Madhukar Muppidwar. District President. MRSP, Deewakar Puddal-war. City Chief. Vinod Pandhare. Ranjay Shriramwar. Harishchandra Pal. Vivek Ambekar. Kekare. Dilip Makalwar. Manohar Zode. Dnyan-eshwar Shirhhaiyye, Vilas Warbhe. Anant Dongare. Gajanan Shelke. Vilas Khond. Vikas Nandurkar, Devidas CHawale. Praiibha Pathri-kar. and Sarila Sonkusare were prominently present during agitation.
