MARATHI and English Study Boards were inaugurated at Chhatrapati Shivaji Arts College. Asegaon Purna recently.
Bahan Saradkar. renowned poet, inaugurated tlie study hoard. Prof Dr Nayana Kadu chaired the programme while Prof Dr Umesh Tayade. Head of Dcpartmenl of English from Sipana Arts. Commerce and Science College. Chikhaldara was present as the key speaker.
Delivering the inaugural speech. Bahan Saradkar said that poetry takes hirth from emotions and asserted the need to conserve the emotions. Students should able to read the emotioas of the society beyond the horizons of words, said Saradkar. AltS and literature makes life complete. The meaning of life has changed ever since we started neglecting the emotions, said Saradkar. We should learn to search the happiness lies in ourselves, said Saradkar.
Dr Umesh Tayade in his guest speech said that, English is an easy and important language. He asserted the communication skills in English language. The literature in English rich and hence students should try to connect with them, appeals Tayade. Prof Vanita Chaudhary delivered ihe introductorv remarks. Prashani Sawai conducted the proceedings while Rahul Raul proposed a vote of thanks.
Teaching and non-teaching staff along with the students of the college were present in large numbers for the programme.
