MAHASHAKTI, which has been formed with an alliance between six political parties including of Republican Party of India (G). Awami Vikas Party. OBC NT Party.Republican Kranti Dal. Minorities Democratic Parly and Azad Vidarbha Sena, will contest all the 288 Assembly seats in the State, informed Dr Rajendra Gavai, General Secretary of RPI (G). He was addressing a press conference here.
Dr Gavai further said that he himself will lead the alliance. Mahashakii will soon release its manifesto which includes a promise to grant statehood to Vidarbha. efforts to start bullet train from Nagpur to Mumbai. schemes for farmers for supplementary business and to give them free electricity, to construct monuments in honour of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj within 2 years, health schemes etc.
RPI has invited Bharip Bahujan Mahasangh tBRP-BMS) as well as Bahujan Samaj Party to join the Mahashakii  but  Dr  Prakash Ambedkar. President of BRP-BMS, and BSP leaders are wailing for outcome of impasse between BJP and Shiv Sena as well as Congress and NCP. informed Dr Gavai.
Gavai said he was ready lo hand over the reins of the Mahashakti to Dr Prakash Ambedkar if he joins the alliance and is ready 10 give 144 scats to BRP-BMS. About "Modi wave' he said that frezy has died down and now people are feeling that they have committed a mistake. He predicted hung house in Maharashtra with people not giving it all to any one alliance. Hence the government will formed only with the support from Maliashakti, said Dr Gavai.
At the press meet Ashish Budare, President of Azad Vidarhha Sena, deelared Dr Rajendra Gavai as the candidate for the post of Chief Minister from Mafiashakti.
Samsherkhan Pathan. President of Awami Vikas Party. Sanjay Kokarc, President of OBC NT Party. Sahdev Tayade. President of Minorities Democratic Party. Tawfiq Patel. President of Azad Vidarbha Sena and many others were also present for the press conference.
