'Defeat parties opposing separate Vid demand'

VIDARBHA Rajya Andolan Samiti has appealed to the people lo oppose the parlies who are against formation of separate Vidarbha.

Those from Mumbai opposing division of Marathi speaking state of Maharashtra, should first take care of their family, which itself got divided. Those supporting the single Marathi speaking state should have opposed formation of more than one Hindi speaking states, when Uttaranchal. Jharkhand and Chhalisgarh were carved out.

The issues of Vidarbha are different and people have raised voice against continuous injustice meted out to the region. The region producing power for the entire state is facing load sheding, natural resources from it are being exploited for development of other regions, youths are facing unemployment, burden of repayment of World Bank loan is put on people from Vidarbha.

If the Maharashtra Government is unable to repay even interest of the loan, cannot repair roads in Mumbai. how can it achieve development of Vidarhha. the organisation has asked.

During the last 65 years. Vidarbha has been exploited. People from the region, therefore, should strongly oppose the parties which are against formation of Vidarbha state, the committee has stated in a press note issued here recently.
