Man acquitted of murder charge

IN A recent decision the Additional District Session Judge. E N Quazi. acquitted an accused from serious murder charges.

According to the report, one Namdco Meshram resident of Malviya ward here would pick up quarrel with his wife alter consuming liquor and beat his wife. On the fateful day October 1.20II Namdeo came home in highly drunken state and the duo exchanged heated arguments.

The younger daughter of the accused had gone to see Navratri Utsav. She was informed that, her father had burnt her mother Suinitra pouring kerosene over her.  She immediately ran towards the hul and informed about it to her elder married sister.

Durga Pandhare who later on lodged complaint against her father for allegedly killing her mother.

Cops registered the case under sections 302 and 498 (A) of IPC and investigated into it

The court verified all evidences, prima facie and medical examination reports and realized that the incident was a mere accident which occurred due to falling of kerosene lamp kept on plank.

The Judge acquitted the accused of all the charges framed against him.

Adv Miliiki Deshpande appeared for the accused.
