A CIVIL court directed Mehkar police 10 register case against a doctor for negligence in treatment to a 9-year-old girl patient.
V i j a y Ambuji More. a resident of Lonar. whose daughter Pratibha was admitted lo Warhade Polyclinic of Dr Vilas Warhade near Vesh Square on July 12. Dr Warhade sent the blood sample to Deepak Jaimalkar's pathology laboratory for testing. The doctor said that the girl is suffering from high fever 'malaria' and gave a powerful injection. Due to the injection the girl's heart and brain were affected. Later, when the blood report was received malaria was not detected in it. The doctor later said that the girl has suffered from brain haemorrhage and gave another powerful injec-lion given to adults.
After the injection was given the blood supply of the girl patient slopped. The girls head was aching and then the doctor gave her a sleeping tablet. The doctor gave her another injection and immediately her heart stopped functioning and site died.
Knowing that the girl had died the doctor advised to take the girl to Aurangabad. The doctor later called a rickshaw and sent the girl to Dr Khurud's hospital. Dr Khurud inspected the girl and said that she had died in Dr Warhade \s hospital.
On July 25 the girl's father Vijay More went to lodge a complaint against Dr Vilas Warhade for giving wrong treatment but the police refused lo register the complaint. He went to Adv Rajesh Navgharc and filed a case in civil court. The court ordered the police to book Dr Warhade and Dr Jaimalkar for wrong treatment and other charges.
On the directives of Avinash Puri. Civil Judge, Mehkar police registered the case under relevant sections on August 30.
