Cotton crop damaged in wild boar attack
A FARMER residing in Mominpura locality of town suffered a loss of Rs 20.000 due to attack of wild boar on cotton crop on Tuesday.
It is learnt that one I lanuinant Nival has sowed cotton in last May at his two-acre farm.
Due to his hard efforts, the cotton plants had good bales and he had hope of better yield. The wandering wild animals including wild boar in the area has become nuisance for the farmers there. The same was happened to Nival.
He was shocked 00 Tuesday to notice the cotton crop was damaged due to the attack of wild boars and the loss was estimated to Rs 20.000. Me also demanded the immediate compensation from the Forest Department.
