Agitation of field staff creates security issues in forests

 

THE arrest of two persons along with leopard skin at Warud Forest Range on Sunday has brought to the fore issue of security of forests and what problems can the strike of field staff create in terms of protection of forests and wildlife. The strike has already increased the problems of grazing in forests while the possibilities of access of poachers in the forest areas have also increased due to the strike.
Meanwhile. Warud court has given the PCR of 5 days to two accused who were arrested on Sunday by Forest Department team along with leopard skin.
Warud police arrested Firoze Shah Babbu Shah (31) from Katol and Dinesh Belkhede(24) from Ladegaon in Kaiol tehsil along with leopard skin. Department was following these accused since last one month and were called for negotiations on Warud to Amner road. Forest staff was present on entire road in civil dress. Forest Department started negotiations with accused through fake customers but problems increased for the department as they changed spots every time. Led by RFO Vishal Nimhhorkar.
