Cops appeal people to co-operate during immersion of Ganesn idols

EVERYONE should celebrate Ganeshotsava peacefully and with religious fervour. appealed Superiniendent of Police Ramnaih Pokle.

He was addressing a Peace Committee meeting held to discuss (he preparations for the immersion Of Ganesh idols. Several issues were discussed in the meeting and the police will concentrate on every aspect and will leave no stone unturned, he said. Every precaution is being taken to sec that nothing unioward happens.

In the meeting Superintendent of Police Ramnath Polke chaired the meeting while SDPO Rajendra Dandale guided the officials. Tchsildar Amol Kumbhar. Riswadkar. PI Sureshkumar Raut and others were present.

Raut said that the immersion of idols should be done peacefully and for this everyone should take care that no disturbance occurs.

He further said that people should cooperate with the police personnel so that everything goes on smoothly.

Superintendent of Police Ramnath Pokle said that die people should not believe in rumours and they should in to maintain peace on the occasion. Tehsildar Amo! Kumbhar, Balasaheb Kharai. Ramkisan Dawand. M Deshmukh. Vasanirao Sharalkar spoke on the occasion.

The programme was conducted by Rajurkar and vote of thanks was proposed by API Sanjay Gawai. Large number of residents were also present on the occasion.
