Caller posing as bank officials siphons money from customer's account


SENSATION prevailed in Chandur Bazar tehsil of the district as cash Rs. 32.000 were withdrawn from the bank account of a customer .
According to the report. Dr Trimbak Bhimrao Deshmukh from Sonori village in Chandur Bazar tehsil of (he district has a Saving Bank Account in Chandur Bazar's Branch of State Bank of India. On August 31 last at 11.12 am he recieved a call  his cell phone number 907070657047. The caller introduced him as an bank officer and told him that the ATM Code number of his account has been changed by the bank as he has no! been using the ATM Card regularly. He (old his new pin code number as 5052. The caller also inquired aboui ihe old pin code number to Deshmukh.
A tier thai right from 12.08 pm amount started to withdrew from the bank account of Trimbak Deshmukh after every 2 minutes. Within few minutes Rs.31.651 were transfered to various bank accounis at various places.
On coming 10 know that ihe money had been withdrawn from his account Dr Trimbak Deshmukh immediately reached Chandur Bazar Police Station and lodged a complaint at (he police station.
During police inquiry it was cleared that the cell phone number by which the fake officer contacted with Dr Deshmukh belongs to Noida Cily in Uttar Pradesh.
