Cop, shunted after public outcry, re-transferred to Dhanora


ASSISTANT Police Inspector (A PI) of Dhanora who was transferred to Asarali Police Station in Sironcha taluka, after a public agitation, has been re-transferred to Dhanora, just three-days after his transfer.
It should he mentioned here that ASI Vaibhav Mali was transferred out of Dhanora following spontaneous agitation on August 31 to protest against an alleged manhandling and misbehaviour by Mali with a local journalist. A 'Rasta Roko' was staged on Gadchiroli Rajnandgaon Interstate Highway for around seven-hours besides total bandh of the Dhanora.
It was only after Mali was transferred to Asarali that the agitation was withdrawn. Gadchiroli MLADr Namdeo Usendi. too, had visited the agitators and joined them in demanding action against Mali. The whole episode look a new turn when some 200 women from Dhanora called on the SP on Wednesday and demanded cancellation of the transfer of Mali saying largescale sale of illicit liquor has started in Dhanora. SP Sandeep Patil assured the women to look into the matter.
On Thursday, demand of women was fulfilled and Mali has been re-transferred to Dhanora. The Sub Divisional Officer of Dhanora Bapu Bangar confirmed this saying Mali joined his duties on Thursday itself, and will be working as second PSI as Shashikant Pawar was appointed as the Police Station Officer in place of Mali.

DEMAND ACTION-Meanwhile, Dhanora Taluka Patrakar Sangha has strongly condemned API Mali and has demanded strong action against him for his alleged misbehavior and inhuman treatment with a journalist.
The Palrakar Sangha passed a resolution in this regard in its meeting. The members of the Patrakar Sangha including Allauddin Lalani. Sitaram Badode, Ahhay Indurkar. Sameer qureshi. Tulan Undirwade, Sopandeo Mashakhctri. Bandu Harne and others attended this meeting.
COMPLAINT AGAINST MALI-Allauddin Lalani. the journalist, allegedly insulted by Mali, has lodged a separate complaint agaiasi API Mali with the Dhanora Police Station demanding action.
In his complaint, he has said that on August 31. 2014. API Mali and four other police officials put him into a police vehicle and snatched away his mobile phone. They did not even allow him to take his medicines and insulted him. Lalani alleged in his complaint and has demanded action against Mali for such a treatment.
