Akola MC files criminal plaint against 4 builders
ADMINISTRATION of Akola Municipal Corporation has registered complaint against four builders for unauthorised constructions. The action of registerinc criminal cases against other 50-plus builders is also contemplated for violation of rules. Concerned Department of AMC had found irregularities in constructions of building in its inspection of 152 under-construciion structures in the city. Notices were issued on April 28 this year, to all those who had exceeded area of construction approved by AMC before commencement of work. As per notices issued under Maharashtra Regional Planning and City Planning Rule -1966 builders were to demolish portions of excess constructions on their sites. Some of the noticees have responded to such notices and taken corrective actions themselves. Association of builders had then discussed matter of regularising irregularity in their work. However, no solution could found. In the latest development in the matter of unauthorised construction it has come to notice of administration that excess construction admeasuring 243.30 square meters was done by Pioneer Construction. Owners of the said concern Saurabh Sunil Sarda and Krushna Toshniwal have started an apartment project at Swawlambi Nagar area on Gorakshan road whore irregularily was noticed by AMC administration. The builders concerned were issued notice regarding unauthorized construction but on their failure to respond, die department filed a complaint with Khadan police station. In another case of unauthorised construction of an ongoing project on Gupte Marg in Jathar peth area, builder Sharadchandra Kelkar was also issued notice for excess construction of 2.44 square meters. Since he also had not responded, a complaint has been filed against him at Civil Lines Police Station. Likewise action against one Rahimoddin Shafiuddin for violation of terms of approval for construction has been initiated by filing complaint at Old city police station, it is learnt.
