A PUNYASMARAN 'programmewas organised by Ahilya Manila Parishad. Amravati ai Town Hall. Rajkamal Square to mark ihe 219th death anniversary of Ahilyadevi Holkar recently.

Felicitation of meritorious students from SSC and HSSC Board examination also took place.

Adv Dilip Edatkar, Editor of daily Matador, chaired the programme while Nitin Mahatme. Plant In-charge. Bharat Petroleum. Nasik. was the chief guest.

In his presidential speech. Adv Edatkar said thai Dhangar commu-nitty people should teach a lesson to those who do not work for the benefit of the communitty. Yogita Gohaire. Secretary of Ahilya Manila Parishad. threw light on the works of Ahilya Mahila Parishad. Sadhana Mliaske. former President, dtrew light on the works and history of Ahilyadevi in her guest speech. Nitin Mahatme gave lips to meritorious students on how to build a positive attitude.

At the outset, guests felicitated the meritorious students by presenting them trophies, certificates and bouquets. Guests also have telic-iiated Dr Avinash Lawhale. the newly appointed Deputy Director of Health Service Department of Akola Board. Jyoti Lawhale. wife of Dr Avinash Lawhale recieved the felicitation on his behalf. Felicitations of Shankar Wade and Vinayak Awghad. Deputy Muncipal Commissioner, also took place on the occasion. Megha Bobade. President of Ahilya Mahila Parishad delivered the introductory remarks. Vandana Dange and Asha Dhawane conducted the proceedings while llaridini Lawhale proposed a vote of thanks.

The programme concluded with National Anthem.
