Chandur Bazar cops book 96 farmers
CHANDUR Bazar police have booked 96 farmers from Chandur Bazar tehsil of die district for taking loan worth about Rs 1 crore from Slate Bank of India by presenting fake agricultural land documents to the Agriculture Department and also to State Bank of India. The offence have been registered against all the 96 farmers on a complaint from the bank Manager.
According to the police information about 96 farmers from Bclora. Gorala, Beskheda. Kharala. Talwel. Barhanpur. Thugaon Pimpri. Shirajgaon. Wani and Ghailadki villages in Chandur Bazar tehsil of the district had applied for the loan towards State Bank of India in between 2007 to 2011.
These farmers have submitted their loan cases at the bank by submitting fake 7/12 document and by showing 8 'A' forms in someone else names. State Bank has distributed loan worth about Rs 1 crores to these 96 farmers on the basis of these fake documents. Some of the fanners have returned their loan. But many of the farmers had decieved the bank by not returning their loan.
Dhiraj kumar Saiyanarayan Shiwah (40). the Branch Manager on coming to know about it lodged the complaint with Chandur Bazar Police. Tadawi, Police Inspector from Chandur Bazar Police Station immediately registered an offence under section 420. 468 and 471 of IPC on the complaint from Shiwah while Prakash Lawange and Vikrant Palil. both the cops arc investigating further into the incident.
