Major train mishap averted at Murtijapur


A POSSIBLE mishap was averted when the damaged S1 bogie of KuriaHowrah (18029 Down) Shalimar Express was noticed in nine at local railway station on Sunday. Shalimar Express arrived at 9.13 am at local railway station and was about to leave the station when technician of CNW Vijay Naik found crack in Sl bogie during routine examination. He immediately informed the matter to Station Master.
Sensing emergency the green signal given to the train was cancelled and it was stopped at the platform.Later, the damaged bogie was removed from the Shalimar Express and ii resumed its journey nearly after two hours at 11.10 am.
Meanwhile. Hariya Express had also to take halt at the station due to repair work. Taking the benefit of the situation some passengers boarded in the train while the passengers travelling in Shalimar Express had to wait for two hours at railway station.Vijay Naik was all praise for his presence of mind. Under the guidance of Railway Police Force PSO Rajesh Dixit. ASI S S Chavan. Vijay Yadav. Turkane. Sunil Waraskar. GRP men and others controlled the situation.
