CM takes initiative for Gondia GMG requests Central Government
late after the dale of submission of compliance. This college is among those seven medical colleges whose proposals were sent by Stale Government. They include Alibaug, Satara, Mumbai. Nandurbar. Chandrapur. Baramati. The case of Gondia college is a bit peculiar. It will be getting 75 per cent amount from Central Government and 25 per cent from State Government.
According to State Government the delay was due to election code of conduct, issue of zudpi jungle that made to get the land for Gondia GMC. Considering all these factors. CM has convened meeting, invited Dr Vedprakash Mishra lo take his advice regarding what can be done in this case to get the college.
The meeting was attended by Dr Kishor Taori. Chairman of Maharashtra Medical Coucil (MMC). Manisha Mhaiskar. Secretary of Medical Education. Gopal Agrawal. Gondia MLA: Dr Pravin Shingare. Directror. Medical Education and Research and others. In a letter sent to Health Minister
Dr Harsh Vardhan: Chief Minister has pointed that the college is pub-tic funded in backward area which is naxal affected. So. ask MCI to consider the case.
