Jeetendra Awhad's bundle of promises for medicos
MAHARASHRA Minister of Medical Education Dr Jeetendra Awhad during his to city's 1GGM-CH and Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) here came up with a bundle of promises. He assured a lot of facilities to students such as all medical and dental colleges will have free WiPi facility within 24 hours. All libraries, common rooms in medical and dental colleges will have AC.
He also informed that talk with Standford University is underway regarding e-library. Hostel elections will he held within a week. Besides, by July end or August first week, tender will be floated to procure MRI at Indira Gandhi Government Medical College. Within three days there would be street lights etc.
During his first visit to city's hospitals after becoming Minister. Awhad had an interaction with students of both the colleges under 'Coffee with Students'. Students placed number of issues in front of the Minister.
According to. him there is a huge gap between dean and students. There is no proper communication between doctors and patients.
