Rains far from satisfactory so far in Yavatmal distt
MONSOON has finally arrived in Yavatmal district, but. in the absence of heavy rains, the district's aver-age is way below desirable mark. The lehsil close to Maraihwada namely Pusad. Umarkhed are the worst sufferers with a meagre average of 4.01 mm in last 24 hours.
The average rainfall in the district up to July 21 was 168 mm. This figure should have been at least 380.97 mm but the 45-day dry patch has upset all equations.
The tehsil-wise average of districts so far is Yavatmal- 210.O4 mm.Babhulgaon - 255 mm. Kalamb- 134 mm. Ami- 147 mm. Darwha- 111 mm. Digras- 96 mm. Ner- 228 mm. Pusad- 51 mm. Umarkhed- 55 mm. Mahagaon- 90 mm. Kelapur- 119 mm. Ghaianji-123 mm. Ralegaon - 209 mm. Wani-268 mm. Maregaon 0267 mm and Zarijamni- 267 mm.
