Nagbhusan Award conferred upon Adv VR Manohar

NAGBHUSAN Foundation conferred Nagbhusan Award upon legal luminary V R Manohar at (he hands of Union Surface Transport Minister NitinGadkari on Sunday. Receiving the prestigious award, Manohar said. "Though I am not a member of any political party. I believe that Narendra Modi's Government will give clean and transparent administration."The award was presented to him at his residence at Dhantoli in Nagpur. Former MP Datta Meghe and Nagbhushan Foundation President Girish Gandhi were present. Gadkari felicitated him with shawl, shrifal. memento and a cheque of Rs one lakh. Adv Manohar donated the amount to 'Women House a social organisation for the welfare of women.Expressing gratitude for the honour, one of the top and famous lawyers of India. Manohar said. "I am not associated with any political party. My father was associated with Jan Sangh and he contested election on its ticket. After the then  Prime Minister Indira Gandhi imposed Emergency in 1975 many leaders were arrested and cases were filed against them
