Civic body bags prestigious first prize for administrative efficiency

Corporation (NMC) bagged prestigious first award of Rajiv Gandhi Prasaskiya Gaiimama Abhiyan at Division level on Thursday. Tribal Development Department adjudged second prize of Gatimanta Abhiyan. Divisional Commissioner Anoop Kumar conferred first prize to Mayor Anil Sole and Municipal Commissioner Shyam Wardhane in a function at Divisional Commissioner office. Second prize received by Deputy Tribal Development Commissioner Vinod Patil.

Commissioner Vinod Patil received cash award of Rs 70.(KX) including certificate of merit and shawlsrifal. Deputy Commissioner M A H Khan, LAO Rajlaxmi Shah and Ruling Party leader at NMC Pravin Datke were present in the function. For the second time, the local body received this award at Division level. Earlier, the NMC received this award at State level during regime of then Municipal Commissioner Dr. Chandrashekhar.
