Outrage as Sena MP forces Mah Sadan man on Roza to eat
A SHIV Sena MP was caught on a video footage force-feeding a fasting Muslim employee in Maharashtra Sadan here, sparking an outrage and uproar in Parliament on Wednesday forcing adjournment of both the Houses.
The matter was raised by the Leader of Congress in Lok Sabha Mallikarjuna Kharge. who was supported by agitating MPs of Congress, NCP. RJD. SP. AIMIM and Left parties citing the incidence at New Maharashtra Sadan a week ago. Shi v Sena MP Rajan Vichare. agitated over poor quality food tried to thrust a roti in the mouth of an employee observing Roza (fast).
The shaken employee, who had his name tag on his shin, appeared 10 plead to the MP not 10 do this lo him. Vichare. who initially claimed that he did not do anything as made out after the footage was aired on TV channels, later said he regretted the incident. "I did not know the person's name, caste or community." he said.
