Good rains revive ryots' hopes
THE incessant rains lashing the district from Saturday evening have revived the hopes of farmers. They are making hectic efforts for completing sowing works which already have got delayed by onc-and-half months. Average 26.6 mm rainfall was registered in the district in last 24 hours. Only 154.1 mm average rainfall has been registered in the district as compared lo expected 324.4 mm in the Monsoon till Sunday.
Monsoon rains that made its presence on July 15 in the district. However, the dry spell for some day had added to woes of farmers. But the rains from Saturday evening provided much relief to farmers.
