Brahmanwada Thadi village, a 14-year-old student Swapnil Ganesh Wange was drowned while 2 persons had climbed on an electric pole and another one on a tree to save themselves. The body of Swapnil Wange was recovered after some time. The flood water has caused damages to (he houses in the villages.
District Collector Rahul Ranjan Mahiwal. after getting information immediately summoned SDO Achalpur. Tehsildar and Naib Telisildar of Cliandur Bazar along with the Rescue Team from Amravati to Brahmanwada Thadi and Kajadi villages for executing the rescue operation. People from Kajadi village were panicked after the entire village was surrounded by water.
Shyamkant Mhaske. Sub-Divisional Officer, has demanded District Collector to provide a hel-icopter to rescue die villagers. District Collector also forwarded the demand towards higher authorities. Meanwhile, in the afternoon   the Chargad river near Ghatladki village in Chandur Bazar lehsil also swelled and as a result water entered into Ghatladki village and nearby villages. About 10-12 villages situated on the bank of river have been evacuated considering the threat to the villages.
District Collector reached Brahmanwada Thadi village along with the rescue learn for extending help lo ihc flood-affected villagers. Primary School and Urdu School in Ghatladki village were also surrounded by water. The water of Puma dam has entered 19 villages of Chandur Bazar lehsil including Brahmanwada Thadi, Ghatladki, Chincholi, Dewoorwada, Kajadi, Kuralpurna. Vishroli. Pimpri. Thugaon and others.
Meanwhile, rescue team was mak-ing all efforts lo help (he people. The flood water from die dam has destroyed the farms in many villages.
National Disaster Response Force also has been called for executing rescue operation while help of helicopter would also be taken if needed, cleared administration.
