MSEDCI. has taken up "Go Green' and other such consumer friendly schemes.The Go Green scheme has been successful in its initial phase as ii achieved three-fold benefits. Firstly, it conserves the ecological balance, there is use of advanced technology and implementation of advanced billing system.
MSEDCL sources here Informed that the scheme has achieved grand success as thousands of power consumers have taken benefit of the schemes. As the old style billing uses paper. It directly require paper which is manufactured by cutting trees. The new hi-tech billing needs mi paper as such and so it helps in saving the trees and achieves environmental conservation.
Similarly. MSEDCL has also provided online billing facility. The consumer can opt for online facility for paying bills on MAIIADIS-COM site on internet. The consumer using this sites are given Rs 3 discount on the bills.

During last six months. 50.000 power consumers in Akola and Washim district have taken benefit of the schemes.
The online system also relieved the consumers and MSEDCL from the complaints regarding delay in issuing of bills.
Taking a step further, the power company has provided facility using ATM payment and mobile SMS. Total 6 machines are installed in Amravati zone of Maharashtra Electricity
