Private Colleges not sending info to Govt
MOST of those private colleges which gel financial assistance
from Government are said to have ignored the directives of sending detailed
information of fees and other charges from the students to the Government till
March 31. According to sources, [he higher education department had sought such
type of detailed information from the Govt, added private colleges from the last
ten > ears as per the orders of Supreme Court <SC). As per the SC orders, the
Government will take over the Govt, added private colleges and it is the reason
why the Government is keen lo collect required information from private colleges
in order to initiate the process of taking over them. The Government added
private colleges are said to have already won the case from the court. Now. the
Government is to initiate process of taking over them. It is learnt that
earlier, the higher education department had written a letter lo all Government
added private colleges of the state through the additional directors on October
2013, when the colleges ignored il. the department sent a reminder to them on
March 14 fixing deadline of March 31. But still most of the colleges are yet to
submit the desired information. The Additional Director. Indore division is
understood to have again sent a reminder to those colleges who have still not
submitted the information within the deadline. This time, the department is very
tough against those not paying attention to its direc-tives. It was revealed
during a meeting called to review the Govt, added private colleges' information.
AH additional directors in the divisions have been asked to again remind those
colleges failed to submit it.

The Govt, added private colleges are said to have pleaded that the Government grant is found insufficient, they find it very difficult to run the college so the Government must lake it over. said a senior education officer.
