CBSE initiates several changes in its curriculum

 THE Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to initiate changes in its curriculum by introducing optional subjects like library and information science, human rights, gender studies, creative writing and Mandarin. CBSE will be incorporating these changes from April 2014.
CBSE has decided to upload the best written answer sheets of the board examination for standards X and XII on its website before the results are declared, as model answers for reference to students. CASE is more keen to have environment-friendly as ii banned leather shoes in schools.
Case's circular says, in order to cater to the diverse needs of students in a globalised world. CBSE will offer various subject options at the secondary and senior secondary level. Since Mandarin is spoken by a large population of the world, the board will offer Chinese in class VI from April 2014. Sellouts desirous of introducing this language in class VI from the academic session 2014-15 are requested lo send their option to the board.
The circular further says that in view of the distinctive role played by libraries in serving the needs of students. teachers, various profes-sionals and researchers, the CBSE: has decided to introduce 'library and information science', law. gender studies, human rights among other subjects as an academic elective at senior secondary level from academic year 2014-15 on pilot basis in some selected schools.
The CBSE has decided to put quality answer sheets on its website. The students might have find answers that have obtained maximum marks. This time CBSE has taken wider look and decided 10 display answer sheets of standard X and XII students who are not toppers but have performed well.
