Official lethargy responsible for mess in electoral rolls: Janmanch

JANMANUCH has squarely blamed for lapses in preparation of electoral rolls due kt which names of scores of voters got deleted during the updation drive. Pramod Pande. Vice-President Janmanch. said the deletion of names though people have been voting at same booth for years together points out to lack of co-ordination among different agencies Panic said ii is unfathomable that every time during the election, people found that their names are missing from the electoral rolls This is despite spending Crores of rupees of public money on the updation of electoral rolls. There is a full lime post of Deputy- Collector (Election Cell) at District Collectorate. This mess of electoral is now common and hence now time has come to fix the responsibility. Janmanch also dismissed defence of officials that they regularly publish advertisements during the electoral roll updation process.
