MADHYA Pradesh emerged on lop in (he country by augmenting its solar power capacity by 309.85 in previous financial year. The State has left Gujarat and Maharashtra behind in terms of installation of maximum solar energy plants in a year from April 1,2013 to March 31. 2014. Madhya Pradesh had total installed capacity of solar power generation with only 37.315 MW during financial year 2012-13. Continuing efforts in the field of green power generation, the State has successfully augmented installed capacity up to 347.165 MW.
According to a report of Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. solar power generation capacity of the country has increased to 948 MW in fiscal year 2013-14 and reached around 2631.9 MW total installed capacity in the country.
Solar power capacity has been increased under head of National Solar Mission and Madhya Pradesh has lopped in registering addition of highest capacity of solar power in previous financial year. The Slate is remained on third posi-tion (347.2 MW) in terms of largest solar installed capacity that is headed by Gujarat with total installed capacity of 916.4 MW and Rajasthan with 730.1 MW.
