Now, PDKV to bear Rs 1 cr expenses of College of Agriculture
IN a major relict' 10 the College of Agriculture. Nagpur, Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapccth (PDKV). Akola. lias resolved to bear the expenditure i.osi on water, electricity and inaitenancc of buildings to the tunc Of Rs one crore every year. In a special meeting held at Aknla recently. Dr Raviprakash Dani. Vice-Chancellor (V-C) of PDKV. gave the approval to the proposal of the college. It may he mentioned here thai Ihc college was mooting ihe proposal for the last 25 years before ihc university.
The college has to manage the staggering amount out of its grants plus bear properly tax of about Rs 9 lakh. This huge expenditure had put a big financial burden on the college management. The expenditure included electricity, water, hostel, college. guest house. V-C camp office. residences etc.. according to reliable sources.
