VIDEOGRAPHERS assigned for

video-shooting of the election processin Amravati and Badnera Assemhlv constituencies called a strike due to alleged the autocracy of Gondia based contractor.

They have submitted a memorandum to Kirankumar Gitte, District Collector who is also a District Election Officer demand-ingtomakelhecontractorlogivc their payment of ihe work till the date. The strike did not affect the workasthevideoshoolingbegan after the intervention of administration.

According 10 information, the contract of the video shooting works regarding the election process of all the H Assembly

Constituencies in the district has

been given to Lakshmi Knterp-rises run by Ilarish Bajaj from Gondia. He has done outsoureing for taking contract of the work. According to information, Bajaj allegedly has deployed about 18 youths from the district at Rs 500 per day and has returned to Gondia. The vidcograpbers deployed on the work since September 20 arc yet to get dieir single day payment from Bajaj. Fumed over that, the videog-raphers deployed on the work for Amravati and Badnera Assembly Constituencies Staged si rike from Monday and refused to do videoshooting till they gel their payment for 15 days.

Aditya Lokhande. Syyed Kayum and Pasatc participated the strike.

Meanwhile, Administration immediately has cameinto action and has called Baldev, Local lnchargeof Lakshmi Enterprises who has made alternative arrangements.

When contacted Pravin Thakare, Election Officer from Amravati said that the issue is related with the contractor and not with the administration.The contractor immediately made alternative arrangements and the strike did not affect the video
