Photo studio owner's plea against grant of poll work to ineligible Gondia bidder

IN RESPONSE to the writ petition filed by Chakote Photo Studio of Amravati against its claim being ignored and grant of work order of poll work relating to coming Slate

Assembly elections to an allegedly ineligible bidder from Gondia -Laxmi Enterprises. Justice Vasanti Naik and Justice P.R.Bora. at die High Court here, have issued notice to the Colleclor-cum-Election Officer. Amravaii   and the Chairperson. Internal Committee, to show cause by October 6 next. According to the petitioner, the respondent-bidder from Gondiyadid not file documents showing mandatory Service Tax Reiurn.still his bid was illegally admitted and he was declared the lowest bidder . contrary to truthful claim of the petilioner and he was given work order on September 17 last.The petitioner has prayed that it is

liable to be quashed and set aside.On the other hand same Gondia man's lender for supply of furniture , pendal and sound system was rejected on the ground that he had not submitted Service Tax Returns with his hid. Advocates Sanjeev Deshpande and Vikrant Giramkar appeared for the Petitioner. Advocate Jemini Kasat (Election Commission) and AGP K.L.Dharmadhikari (State) represented the respondents.
