CITY is gearing to celebrate dussehra on October 3. Programmes of Ravan Dahan are organised in city in different areas.

Ravan Dahan Ayojan Samili: A 35 feet high effigy of Ravan will be burnt at Chiinis Park Ground at 5.30 pm. Union Minister of Road Transport Nilin Gadkari will inaugurate the programme. Damodarial Punamchand Malu. President of Malu Paper Mill Limited, will preside over. Mayor Pravin Daike. MLA Vikas Kumbhare. BJP City President MLA Krishna Khopde, BJP Pradesh Spokesman Girish Vyas. Nagpur General Secretary Prof Rajesh Bagdi. Sanjay Khule. BJP Central Nagpur President Vilas Trivedi. BJYM Ciry President Jitendra alias Bunty Kukde, Corporator Dayashankar Tiwari. Vidya Kanhere will also grace the occasion.

Prior to Ravan Dahan programme a shobhayatra will be held from Shri Shirpurkar Ram Mandir, Badkas Chowk. Floatsof Lord Ram. Laxman and  Mahabali  Hanuman will  be placed on decorated chariot. The shobhayalra will reach to Chitnis Park and after Pttjan, arti. shash-trapujan. cracker show, the effigy of Ravan will he burnt by guests.

Saiiatan Dharniu YuvakSabhu: As per tradition 63rd Dussehra Mahoisav will be celebrated at Kasturchand Park ground on October 3. Cracker show. 'Ravan KiKahani' light and sound show are the main attractions for this year's festival. The programme will start at 4 pm after pooja of effigies of Ravan, Kumbhakarna and Meghnaad followed by cultural programmes. A special issue of Sanaum Sumatiuir will be released on the occasion.
