BLOs on their toes to distribute voter slips

TOTAL.1,446 booth-level officers (BLOs) will distribute voters' slips to 14,23,029 voters within the district in next four days. Distribution of the slips began in all the five Assembly constituencies on Tuesday.

With a view to mobilise voters to cast their votes, election administration introduced voter's slip from the latest Lok Sabhaelections.lt displays in formation regarding the voter's number, polling station, etc. District administration has appointed BLOs who mostly include school teachers and have been assigned die work to distribute the slips.These BLOs will visit house-to-house and hand over the slips personally.

It m,aybementioned here that the work of sistribution of voters slips has to be completed till

October 10,2014.

Administration has deployed 1,446 BLOs for the purpose.The BLOs will have to visit at leasl 50 houses every day to complete the work. All BLOs have been directed to be present at the polling stations to distribute voter's slips in case they fail to contact the voters.

Meanwhile, district election office will celebrate Voters' Day on October 11
